State Councilor to the Prime Minister of Romania
Călin Ungur is currently serving as State Counsellor for Foreign Affairs to the Prime Minister of Romania since his appointment in December 2015.
Prior to joining the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, he was Political Assistant to Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia at European External Action Service, in Brussels. Previously, he worked in the EEAS as Political Desk Officer for Ukraine and as seconded national expert to European Commission/DG RELEX - Policy Officer for Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, and Eastern Partnership.
From 2007 to 2008, Mr. Ungur served as Deputy Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
