IGOR MUNTEANU is CEO for the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS). Also, he represents ULIM (Free International University of Moldova) as Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Academic Partnerships. Between 2010 and 2015, he served as E.P. Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in USA. He also served as Non-Resident Ambassador to Canada (2010 – 2013) and Mexico (2010 – 2015). He started his professional career as Policy Advisor to the 1st President of Moldova (1992-1994). He earned his MA in 1992 in Political Analysis at SNSPA (National School of Political Sciences and Administration) in Romania and a PhD in Public Law at ULIM (International University of Moldova) in 2012. Since 1996 till 1999 he was Chief-Editor of the Political Science Journal ‘Arena Politicii’. Since 1995, he established one of the prowess think tanks in Moldova, IDIS, in public policy @ economic and political research. He was associated with RFERL (Radio Free Europe) and SEER Journal of Social and Labor Affairs in Dusseldorf. He joined the Institutional Committee of the Council of Europe (in Strasbourg), where he acquired experience in regional governance and EU. He lectured at ASEM (Academy of Economic Studies) and ULIM (Free International University of Moldova). He is author and contributor to several books and publications, printed in Europe.
