Chairman of the Board, Foundation for Contemporary Liberalism, former Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland
Jan Vincent-Rostowski is the former Minister of Finance (2007-2013) and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland. He is the longest serving Polish Finance Minister, and during his term, which co-incided with the World economic crisis, Poland achieved the fastest growth of any OECD or European country. He thus has unique experience of successful economic policy making under extreme crisis conditions.
As Polish Finance Minister he participated in over 60 Ecofin Councils, chairing six of them as Council President at the height of the eurozone crisis.
Before entering politics in 2007, Jacek Rostowski combined a distinguished academic career with financial sector Board and Senior Advisor roles in Poland and high level policy advice.
Currently he is Chairman of the Board of the "Foundation for Contemporary Liberalism" in Warsaw.
