Obie L. Moore is a highly recognized global energy and private equity transaction leader. Currently, Mr. Moore is founder and Director of OLM Partners LLC, a Geneva-based multi-disciplinary consulting firm. A U.S. citizen based in Europe the past 21 years, Mr. Moore completed groundbreaking transactions in both the undeveloped transition economies of Central and SE Europe, Central Asia and the structured financial centres of London, Geneva, Frankfurt and Vienna. He managed an international law firm as head of the Central and SE Europe Corporate M&A / Private Equity practice and member of the 7 person Global Board of Directors of Salans, an 800 attorney firm (now Dentons). He also launched and managed the highly recognized U.S. government-sponsored Romania American Enterprise Fund, the first major private equity fund in Romania. As head of the Geneva office of a family wealth group, he structured and executed transactions for the group, including complex acquisitions of 3 London Stock Exchange listed commercial property companies, valued at €1.3 billion in assets, which are primarily located in Germany, and led the delisting, restructuring and merger of these companies.
His current mandates focus on transatlantic and European cross border energy investments, (including shale gas exploration/production, oil/gas commodity sales and refining), M&A transactions (including property/real estate), private equity and portfolio investments, private wealth management for UHNWI, white-collar financial criminal matters (and related forensic intelligence). In the context of EU enlargement and harmonization of laws, Mr. Moore is a regular advocate in Brussels and other European capitals for major investors in new Member States of the EU.
Mr. Moore is a frequent speaker and advisor for the development of the European unconventional gas industry in Europe and Central Asia. He currently serves on boards of public policy groups and private sector companies and is an active member of the Board of Directors of The Atlantic Council of the United States, the leading global public policy think-tank based in Washington, D.C.
A native of Austin, Texas, he is married, has two daughters and speaks Romanian and basic French and Spanish.
