Practice Manager, Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice, Europe and Central Asia Region West, The World Bank
Paulo Correa is the Practice Manager for Trade and Competitiveness in the Europe and Central Asia Vice-Presidency since July 2016. Between February 2015 and March 2016, Paulo served as the State Secretary for Economic Affairs in Brazil's Ministry of Finance where he was in charge of microeconomic reforms to foster productivity.
Paulo first joined the World Bank in 2002 as senior economist in the Latin American region and has since lead several lending operations, authored a number of reports and technical publications, including more recently a book on Smart Specialization in Croatia, co-edited with Arabela Aprahamian).
He holds a degree of Master of Science in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
