Foreign Relations Secretary, Administration of the President of Georgia
Mr. Tengiz Pkhaladze, born on July 14, 1973, graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, faculty of International Law.
From 1992 to 2004, Mr. Pkhaladze held various positions in public sector. He was Chief of the Diplomatic Protocol of the Head of State of Georgia and later became State Advisor at Local and Regional Policy of the State Chancellery of Georgia. He served as Vice Governor of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of Georgia as well as Consul at the Embassy of Georgia to the Azerbaijan Republic and Deputy Director at Department of Asia, Africa and Pacific Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. In 2008 - 2014, he was Chairman of the International Center for Geopolitical studies.
Since 2012, Mr. Pkhaladze has been doing his PhD at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. Besides, he was lecturer at several universities. Nowadays, Mr. Pkhaladze is invited lecturer at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, School of Law and Politics.
He is co-author and editor of several books and monographs on international relations and security issues. Mr. Pkhaladze is member of both, the Royal Institute for International Relations in UK and the Atlantic Council in US.
Since June 19, 2014, Tengiz Pkhaladze is Advisor to the President of Georgia -- Foreign Relations Secretary.
