Agnes Nicolescu

Public Policy Director, Aspen Institute Romania

A graduate of the Faculty of Political Sciences – University of Bucharest, Agnes subsequently specialized in 73026-10151818564756917-547634235-nInternational Relations (University of Bucharest and Roma Tre “La Sapienza”). She has gained professional experience working for non-governmental organisations (Casa NATO – Euro Atlantic Council of Romania and the Youth Forum Association) and in the public sector (the European Institute of Romania).
Her publishing activity includes scientific articles and op-eds in national and international journals and series (Romanian Journal of European Affairs, DGAP IP Journal, Italian Institute of International Affairs Documents series, EPIN – CEPS Commentaries, Europe’s World), on topics covering: institutional and political dimensions of the European integration process, economic and social trends in member states and democratisation, with a focus on Romania. She speaks fluent English and has working knowledge of French and Italian.
